Production performance tests are based on the NZCo enhanced version of the MoD 53/100-1

* The slider and elements are considered NOT to be of dissimilar metals within the context of the USA MIL-STD 889b, due to the high copper content in each.

The performance aspects of this Specification are derived from long-term studies and tests of the BDM product, but are issued for guidance only. Any proposed use of the BDM zipper range must be fully tested by the user and no warranty is issued against failure of the zipper in new or old applications based purely upon the above figures, especially in life-threatening situations.

Field Trials are essential, (including suitability for the purpose, and RF welding of PU zippers into suits).

The New Zipper Company disclaims any liability for failure of , or subsequent losses resulting from, the use of, the BDM product range where production error by NZ cannot be irrefutably proven. The New Zipper Company reserves the right to change any or all of the above specification in the continuing search for product improvement.
